Students
are taught for the Classes: Nursery / Lower KG / Upper KG and Class I to
XII. The school is run by the Governing Body of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education, Salt Lake, Kolkata following the ideals of integral education as envisaged by Sri Aurobindo and the Divine Mother and aims at building an integrated personality which is a harmonious balance of different elements that constitute our being. |

The Divine Mother says: Education, to be complete must have five principle aspects relating to the five principle activities of human being - the physical, the mental, the vital, the psychic, and the spiritual. Basic Features a) Physical

(ii) a total, methodical and harmonious development of all the parts and movement of the the body and (iii) rectification of defects and deformities. b) Utmost attention of the psychology of each child. c) Proper training and development of sense faculties, sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste, and aesthetic sense. d) Training of mental faculties, e.g. observation, attention, memory, judgment, imagination, etc.Growth of mental awareness in an atmosphere of joy and freedom. e) Moral training by the method of suggestion, not by command or imposition or merely by teaching the dogmas of religion.Curriculum of the classes will be adopted and developed so as to achieve the above mentioned objectives. |

Discipline Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline in the school. Parents/Guardians are requested to collaborate in this with the school authorities by insisting on the regular attendance and punctuality of their words. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, bad conduct or sickness (physical/psychological) injurious to other boys and girls justify dismissal.

Office Hours From 10 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (Saturday 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.) Sunday Compulsory attendance as and when required. Vacation There are three vacations in the year: the Summer vacation, the Puja vacation and the Winter vacation. These holidays may not be extended or anticipated. Students who do not abide by this rule expose themselves to disciplinary action. |
